Mercury was named after the Roman Messenger of the gods. Mercury was also known for creating the lyre from a tortoise shell. The planet Mercury is the second hottest planet in our solar system. It only gets about 800ºF during the day, so you probably wouldn't want to touch the ground. And Mercury has lots of craters.
Powerbocking is named after the German engineer, Alexander Bock. Bock came up with the jumping stilts, also known as kangaroo shoes, used to make great leaping strides and jumps. Powerbocking seems like a great sport to enjoy on Mercury. At least in my mind. One could jump over craters and never have to touch the super heated ground.
